Hindhivac manufactures a wide range of Scientific Coatings. The most common metals utilized in mirror coatings are Aluminium, Silver and Gold. These metallic mirrors are cover coated with a protective layer of transparent dielectric coating. In the case of protected Aluminium mirror, the over coating will slightly reduce the reflectivity of Aluminium, but this is of little consequence since the aging of the unprotected metal will eventually cause poorer reflectivity if not over coated. These reflective coatings can be deposited on flat, concave or convex surfaces with extremely good uniformity.
